Hello, Old Friends !?!

So, yeah... it's been a while. Like almost a year. But I think that I finally have my life under control here in New Mexico, after a couple of moves and some growing (adjusting?) pains! And you know what, I really, really miss having a creative outlet. Don't get me wrong, making money is awesome (even if it means I have to have a real job that starts at 7 AM), but life was way more entertaining when I was thrifting for the shop and blogging all the time. I've made some great friends here, and even a few lovely ladies who enjoy crafty-time with me, but I don't really feel like I'm pushing myself to be creative every day and I miss it. So, I'm going to attempt to start the ol' blog back up! Hopefully, I can re-find my place in the interwebs, a place where people appreciate my wacky outfits and my attempts at photography. So, if anyone is still hanging around, thanks a billion and I'll try not to disappoint! And for those of you whose blogs I have been silently reading for the last year, I promise to chime in and encourage you in your creative efforts, also!

Now... on to the outfit!

This is something a have found myself wearing a lot recently, something about the plaid and the boots just seems so appropriate for New Mexico! Right?
Dress: Target
Cardi: Old Navy?
Belt: Ross
Leggings: Vera Wang for Kohl's
Boots: Vintage, Etsy (I LOVE these. Some may say I am obsessed)

And, I would be remiss if I didn't show you a few of my new favorite home furnishings, now that I have a big girl grownup house all to myself.

My new-to-me, vintage console stereo. It plays the radio, records, AND my Ipod. $20 at Goodwill. Amazing!

I've had this one for a while, but now I finally have a place to put it! An amazing framed vintage Gucci scarf that depicts the four seasons.

  1. I'm so glad you're back! I was following your blog (pretty silently, sorry) before you moved and was sad that you disappeared and excited to see you pop up in my Google Reader again!

I think the boots are very appropriate for New Mexico, and I'm curious as to how you can get your iPod to play on the Magnavox? If it's that multi-purpose, I want one!

  3. Welcome back! I love your boots and furnishings, especially that amazing vintage scarf. I know how you feel, I miss the creative outlet too. Hopefully we can keep up with it alongside the full time jobs. I look forward to reading your next post!
